A deep dive into the metallurgy of high-grade steel and its impact on bearing longevity under extreme radial loads. GCR15 steel is the gold standard for premium automotive bearings, but not all GCR15 is processed equally. Huayi utilizes a specialized double-vacuum remelting (VAR) process to minimize impurities, significantly reducing the risk of rolling-contact fatigue. In this article, we showcase our lab stress test results, comparing our custom-processed steel against standard import bearings under 30kN of load.
